Korean Beef Bulgogi Marinade

2 lb top sirloin steak, thinly sliced 1/2 cup soy sauce1/2 cup brown sugar2 tablespoons minced garlic1 tablespoon grated ginger1 tablespoon sesame oil2 tablespoons mirin 1 tablespoon rice vinegar1 pear (Korean pear preferred), grated1 teaspoon ground black pepper2 green onions, finely chopped1 teaspoon sesame seeds
(optional)Instructions:Mix Soy Sauce & Sugars: In a bowl, combine soy sauce and brown sugar until sugars dissolve.Add Aromatics:
Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.Incorporate Liquids: Add mirin and rice vinegar to the mixture.Add Pear: Mix in the grated pear for sweetness and tenderizing.Season:
Stir in ground black pepper, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds if using.
Marinate & Cook:
Use the sauce to marinate beef slices for at least 30 minutes before grilling or frying.
